A personal connection, serving as a personal assistant to the managing director of a distinguished plumbing and heating firm, facilitated a pivotal meeting that launched John’s professional journey. As a leading contractor for the Greater London Council, the firm entrusted John with his first role, executing oil-to-gas conversions on the Isle of Dogs.
This formative experience sparked his dedication to delivering exceptional, large-scale heating solutions, laying the foundation for the creation of MEC Commercial Solutions.

After a decade of honing his craft and earning advanced qualifications, John sought greater control over his career to secure a brighter future for his family. In pursuit of this vision, he founded MEC Commercial, transitioning to self-employment. His first major contract with British Gas in Central London involved complex boiler installations and system upgrades, where John quickly established a reputation for exceptional fault-finding and intricate installation work. This early success demonstrated his technical prowess and set the stage for the company’s growth.
